ODI staff presented two papers at the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) conference:
May 8-12, the Ocean Tracks-College Edition curriculum team will be gathering in La Jolla, California to review student work. They will be joined by college faculty members whose students used the draft modules this past year.
Jessica Sickler will representing ODI as a panelist at the NEERO conference on Friday, April 7 from 7:30-9:00am.
Randy Kochevar will be joining LABAIDS for a session on EDC Earth Science at NSTA's National Conference on March 31st from 10-11:30am.
ODI's Erin Bardar will be presenting on the importance of data literacy, using examples of data-rich activities from EDC Earth Science at the East Bay Educational Collaborative's Earth & Space Sciences Workshop on Frida
The Real World, Real Science (RWRS) team surveyed approximately 1,000 teachers from the GMRI LabVenture! Database in mid-December, 2016 to understand teachers' perpectives on (1) the benefits of the current LabVenture!
At ODI, we spend a lot of time writing about the ever-increasing flood of data that our society produces.
ODI will be very involved at the February 15-17, 2017 Data Science Education Technology (DSET) Conference in Berkeley, CA, organized by The Concord Consortium.
